Product Manager, Malaysia



The Role

This is a strategic hire that offers flexibility and growth locally and internationally. The Product Manager will be responsible for product/project life cycle management, cross functional management, external c-level engagement, planning and launching new products within the mobile operator sector & other enterprise sectors 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan and maintain product strategy for the financial year: identifying consumer / customer requirements, understanding competitive offerings and market requirements and create product roadmap and vision
  • Understanding scope of services & preparing product documentation with the business requirement & technical specifications – Ability to drive the requirements to closure.
  • Evangelizing the product: communicating business rationale behind product decisions in company forums, creating effective product messaging, presentations, brochures, etc, and providing the sales team with product information as required
  • Work closely with sales, marketing teams & partners to promote products & services and assist them to be ready to go to market
  • Infer customer Insights through Analysis of existing Customers to plan products and services enhancements
  • Project planning and management, scheduling, tracking, reporting & communication to stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Manage the day-to-day operational tasks including developing new product concepts for billing configuration, product testing, and other necessary coordination between internal & external teams 
  • Perform regular reporting to relevant parties & other tasks as required by superior.

Qualification & Experience

  • Degree in Business, Finance/Economics, Marketing, Computer Science or any related field.
  • 5+ years Product Management/Product launching/full product life cycle management experience in the Telco/VAS/FINTECH space.
